The Lowcountry Reptile Takeover at Exchange Park

You know when people think of Charleston, South Carolina, they usually think of cobblestone streets or historical tours, right? But on September 26th and 27th, 2026, the real action is happening right down the road in Ladson.
Lisa Parker
Oh, absolutely! We are bringing Repticon right back to Exchange Park, specifically inside the Cultural Arts Building, Freedom Hall at 9850 US 78.
Michael Arnold
Freedom Hall, yeah. It is a great venue for us. But wait, for people planning their weekend, how does the schedule actually work with the VIP setup and general doors?
Lisa Parker
General admission goes from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, and Sunday runs 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM as well.
Michael Arnold
Right, right, that early hour is gold. I, I tell people all the time, if you want first pick from top breeders, that is the way to go. Plus, Freedom Hall gives us that ideal climate controlled space where foot traffic can actually flow smoothly around all the vendor booths and educational displays.

It really does. The layout allows families to move easily between live animal encounters, talks, and shopping without feeling packed in like sardines. And honestly, the community energy in Charleston is just special. You get coastal keepers who have been in the hobby for twenty years chatting right alongside families buying their very first gecko.

Vendor Spotlight Panther Chameleons and New Caledonian Geckos

And speaking of geckos and specialized breeders, we have some incredible vendors lined up for this show. Have you seen the lineup?

Oh, I have! MKM Chameleons is one I am super excited about. That is a boutique chameleon breeder based out of Angier, North Carolina, run by Aaron Samero.
Michael Arnold
Aaron's work with panther chameleons is, it is really top tier. He specializes in producing exceptional panther chameleons, like, the color vibrancy and the health on his animals is just ridiculous.

Yeah.

And it is not just about selling an animal for him. He sits there and walks keepers through arboreal setup, hydration, exact lighting specs, all of it.

That hands on care guidance is everything, especially for chameleons. And then on the gecko side, we have Canvas Geckos coming up from Jesup, Georgia.

Canvas Geckos, right! They specialize in high quality New Caledonian geckos, right?

Exactly. They bring a whole range of New Caledonian species, including Crested geckos, those beautiful mossy Chahoua geckos, and even giant Leachianus species, or leachies, as everyone calls them.

Wait, leachies! Man, those giant geckos are incredible. They look like little velvet dragons. But, but see, this is the whole advantage of coming out to a live expo instead of just ordering off a screen.

Right! You get to actually see the animal's temperament in person, check their health and body condition, and talk face to face with the breeder who hatched them.
